SOCIAL EVENTS Sestri Levante provides a wonderful venue for our 9th International Congress on Maxillofacial Rehabilitation, ISMR members and our conference delegates. This once quiet fishing village is slowly turning into an Italian Mediterranean hot spot. The following conference social events promises to provide everyone with memorable moments surrounded by local Italian traditions, legends and charm. If one was to imagine the ideal quaint seaside resort on the Italian Mediterranean, this would be the place. We look forward to seeing our friends on the Italian Riviera! Welcome Reception - Poster Session Wednesday, May 19th (16:00 - 19:00) Dress: Business Casual (no ties necessary) Cost: No charge for Conference Delegates- included in registration fees Guest are invited and encouraged to attend, but must pay a Guest Registration fee. Arrive early to join us for our Poster Session and Welcome Reception. Our conference site, Fondazione Mediaterraneo Congress Center provides a spectacular setting, overlooking the the Mediterranean The Congress Center is the former Dominican Fathers Abbey and the Negrotto Cambiaso Palace. The Negrotto Cambiaso Palace was built in the middle of the XVIII century and is an attractive building that overlooks the Baia del Silenzio. Our Congress Hall (Abbey) was built in 1496 by the Dominican Fathers. It is located on the farthest end of the Sestri Levante peninsula and overlooks the sea on three sides: two of them are set towards the Baia del Silenzio (Bay of Silence) and one overlooks the open sea. A spectacular venue to host our Welcome Reception. Posters will be displayed during this three hour session. Entertainment will add a romantic ambiance to the sea breezes. Light appetizers will be served with plenty of time left over to find that charming dinner spot, as you stroll through the streets back to your hotel. All providing a wonderful venue to start our meeting. Conference Lunches Thursday, May 20th and Friday, May 21st (12:30 - 13:30) Dress: Business Casual (no ties necessary - conference attire) Cost: No charge for Conference Delegates- included in registration fees Guest are invited and encouraged to attend, but must pay a Guest Registration fee. Our conference lunches will be served at the Dominican Fathers Abbey on the outside patio (weather permitting) overlooking the water. Light pastas and salads are the menu of choice. Exhibit Reception Thursday, May 20th (17:00 - 19:00) Dress: Business Casual (no ties necessary - conference attire) Cost: No charge for Conference Delegates- included in registration fees Guest are invited and encouraged to attend, but must pay a Guest Registration fee. Our Exhibit Reception will be served immediately following the General Session. This time is dedicated to acknowledge and show our appreciation for our industry colleagues that have generously supported our ISMR meeting. We encourage all colleagues to visit each of our exhibit booths and find out what's new in products and services. Entertainment, light appetizers and beverage will be served for your enjoyment. ISMR Banquet and Reception Friday, May 21st (18:00 until it's time to go home) Dress: Smart Casual (Seaside Summer attire - no ties necessary) Cost: $90/person We are planning our ISMR Banquet to be hosted at a location overlooking the Mediterranean. A reception will start off the evening with entertainment, followed by dinner at one of the attractive seaside restaurants in Sestri Levante. Dinner will include a multi course meal served with wine. Poster Awards and acknowledgments will be announced and we encourage all colleagues to join us of the this gala social event. Please register early so that we can make plans for your attendance. |
