6:45pm-10:30pm    Congress Reception and Banquet    (Elective Event- Fee required)

Chteau Neercanne  will be the site of our Congress Banquet.  Located in Jekervallei on the outer edges of Maastricht, the oldest city in the Netherlands, Chteau Neercanne is the only terraced castle in the Netherlands.  The Chteau was built in 1698 by the then Governor of Maastricht, Baron Danil de Dopff to impress guests that included Czar Peter the Great.  Belgium is a few minutes walk away.

Chteau Neercanne has a rich cultural and culinary heritage. The Chteaus kitchens are noted for miles around and offer superb French, seasonal and regional dishes.

The Chteau is further blessed by its stunning gardens, designed in a Louis XIV style. Intriguing old engravings spark the interest as you roam this delightful scene. The gardens underwent a full restoration in 1998 and are as good today as when first built.

In the nearby Jekerdal you will find vineyards of Europes most northerly grape, the Pinot Noir, which is noted for its bouquet and taste. Our own vineyard is ideally situated on the Chteaus steep southern slope. We currently grow around 400 vines that produce Mise en Bouteille Chteau Neercanne.

In 1991 Chteau Neercanne was, for the second time in its history, chosen to host a meeting of the heads of European government.

Banquet Cost: $85/person

This will be night to remember... Make plans to join us at this magnificent Chteau
